Ruben Aguirre Ramirez

ABOUT ME

Hey there! I'm Ruben, and I'm a 20 year old programmer currently studying at The Game Assembly in Malmö Sweden. I'm originally from Spain, but I've lived here in Sweden for almost 13 years. I've been interested in Game developing since I was 14 years old, following step-by step-tutorials and learning how to program games.

During my first year at TGA, I primarily focused on gameplay programming. Now,  in my second year, I've found what I enjoy working with the most: engine development, tools and system building. During our group projects at TGA, I've been mostly working in my groups engine, creating tools, developing a visual scripting editor, and setting up, maintaining and updating a pipeline from an external level editor to in-engine levels. I've also worked with some of our engine's physics using PhysX and helped develop systems for gameplay & level transition.

Before joining TGA, I studied Game Programming at LBS where I gained experience using Unity and C#.
During my final independent project at LBS, I explored Perlin noise and procedural voxel terrain generation using Unity Engine.

I am part of The Game Assembly’s internship program. As per the agreement between the Games Industry and The Game Assembly, neither student nor company may be in contact with one another regarding internships before April 23rd. Any internship offers can be made on May 5th, at the earliest.
